History:
Morkie is hybrid of a Maltese and a Yorkie.
Temperament:
Maltese:
For all his diminutive size, the Maltese seems to be without fear. He is
trusting, affectionate and among the gentlest mannered of all little
dogs. He is lively and playful as well as vigorous. The Maltese is a
good choice for people who live in small apartments because of his size,
but for the same reason it is not a good candidate for those with small
children, unless the owner can provide constant supervision. Highly
intelligent and good at learning tricks, Maltese also tend to get along
with other pets well. A good watchdog, they love to romp and play.
Yorkie:
Always eager for adventure, the Yorkie doesn't know it's a small dog.
They have been described as inquisitive and stubborn, sometimes
aggressive to strange dogs. They tend to exercise themselves around the
home.
Maintenance:
Maltese:
A romp in the yard or a short walk on a leash is all you need. The
beautiful coat requires combing every 1-2 days. Professional grooming
will keep your Maltese looking like the standard.
Yorkie: Their long coats require brushing or combing every other day. .
Group: Toy.
Weight: 4-7 lbs
Height: 9-10"
