History:
The Boston Terrier is one of the few breeds developed in America. They
were created by crossing the Bulldog and Bull Terrier and were used in
dog fights. They quickly became well-loved pets and were the most
popular breed in the US in the early 1900's.
Temperament:
A fairly easy dog to care for, the Boston Terrier is an active, loving
pet. They are definitely house dogs and cannot stand extreme heat
or cold. Boston Terriers are eager to please which makes training easy.
Maintenance:
They should get plenty of exercise and attention daily. A quick massage
with a rubber curry comb once a week will keep their coat in good shape.
