Holland Lops

The Holland Lop is the smallest and the most
popular of the lop-eared rabbits. A Holland Lop weighs around 3 - 4 pounds, for
both the buck and doe. They come in a variety of colors. These are very mellow
smaller rabbits that are easy for beginners to handle and care for. This is a
very sweet and affectionate animal. They love to play and hop around. Holland
Lops don't require a lot of space and they eat less than bigger bunnies!
Mini Lops

Besides being so very cute, the Mini Lop Rabbit
is a favorite bunny because they are so sweet and cuddly. These rabbits will
stay smaller than a regular rabbit and they make a great pet for children. They
reach an adult weight of 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 Pounds.The Mini Lop Rabbit is lively and
smart. Not only are they very "huggable" and playful, they are known to be
successfully litter-box trained. They make great companions that like to
interact and appreciate affection, and are often described as being like a pet
dog. Both the Mini Lop and the Holland Lop are miniaturized versions of the
Lop-eared Rabbit.
Havana

This bunny is a real beauty with its soft, shiny and rich
colored fur coat. The Havana Rabbit is a very nice show rabbit, but they are
also generally considered to make excellent pets. They are one of the most
well-rounded rabbits with a sweet docile personality. Havana Rabbits are calm and
very laid back. These sweet tempered bunnies will quickly bond with their
owners. Being on the smaller side of the medium sized rabbits, They weigh only
about 4-5 pounds. The quiet Havana rabbits need a minimal amount of space.
Himalayan

Weighing in at 4 1/2 pounds or less, the Himalayan rabbit is one
of the more common domesticated rabbit breeds. They are quite inquisitive and
enjoy playing rabbit games, keeping owners entertained. The Himalayan requires
human interaction and typical rabbit toys to fill their need for playing. In
general, the Himalayan rabbit is extremely gentle, easy to care for and a small
size to handle. The body of the Himalayan will be white with the markings on the
nose, tail, feet and ears being black, blue, chocolate or lilac. This color
pattern is unique in itself as the color tones tend to change with the weather.
Hot weather can cause the colors to fade with the white portion of the coat
getting a yellow tint. Cool weather will intensify the marking colors. This
unique coloring system of the Himalayan is due to the extremities having a
cooler temperature than the rest of the body. The color markings are referred to
as "pointings" and are more commonly found in black than the other colors. The
fur has a silky texture with a short length, displaying fly back
properties. There coat doesn't require extra care, regular grooming will keep the
coat shiny and in beautiful condition.
Dutch Dwarf

The Dutch
rabbit is a suitable pet for both children and adults. The Dutch is generally
good-natured and quite sociable with a great personality and can be very
energetic. They do need a lot of attention and can become bored quite
easily. They are intelligent and easily trained. They especially enjoy sitting
on its owner’s lab, snuggling, and being attentive. This little bunny reaches a
weight of about 4 1/2 to 5 pounds.
Standard Rex

One of the factors behind the popularity of rex rabbits as pets,
is its friendly nature. These rabbits gel well with humans and other pets. They
are said to have a motherly nature and so are often found to be used as foster
mothers for raising young ones of other rabbits. Their activity level can be
rated as low to moderate. They are playful, and are
also easy to handle. They like holding, cuddling and patting too. It is said
that these rabbits are the most intelligent among the different rabbit breeds.
They can also be potty trained with much ease. They are so gentle in nature that rex rabbits are considered as ideal pets for a family with kids.
Lionhead

These little rabbits have a mane of wool encircling
their head much like a male African Lion. (Both male &
female Lionheads have a mane). Unlike other wool
rabbit breeds, the Lionhead Rabbit has normal fur on
the rest of their bodies. They are very friendly, easy to
train and make excellent pets. Once they reach
adulthood they do not require the extensive grooming
that some of the other wool breeds do.
Mini Rex

The Mini Rex is an extremely popular pet and show animal. They
are gentle creatures and make great pets. They are very curious, and a pet Mini
Rex will want to be out exploring the house often! Mini rex aren't strangers to
the show table. They win a lot of Best In Show titles and have a huge following
both in the open and youth show circuits.
